About Us
How it began:
It started with a dream.....
Shelly has always had a love for children and thus it became her career. her role in childcare began two decades ago when she found herself following her life passion of working with children. Shelly quickly realized that she wanted a center to call home and thus the sprouting of Our Little Flower Buds Preschool commenced. Shelly had a truly innovative concept of incorporating a family like atmosphere in the day to day child care setting. Her goal was to make children feel at home, and to love onto children as if they were her own. Therefore, fueled by a supportive husband and children, a love of children and a desire to help working families, Shelly built an extraordinary and successful business out of faith, hard work and determination.
Mission Statement:
The mission of Our Little Flower Buds Preschool, is to provide quality child care and learning experiences for children in a safe and caring environment, helping them develop socially, creatively, emotionally, physically and intellectually. Our Little Flower Buds will strive to work cooperatively with the community. We take pride in our highly qualified teachers and in our communications throughout the center. We strive to provide a safe and nurturing environment where children can express their individuality, while we provide them with a variety of experiences and enhance their development. Our Little Flower Buds takes pride in its reputation and strives to uphold and promote values and principles, which encompass fairness and honesty.
Philosophy Statement:
A child’s early experiences enrich and stimulate future growth. Children deserve to be treated and respected as individuals in an environment that welcomes reason, exploration, question, and imagination. We respect each child’s need for love, security, acceptance, warmth, and stimulation. It is our number one goal to provide the kind of environment and the kind of influences that encourage all children to become creative, independent, responsible, well rounded, self-directed adults who can make decisions for themselves. Our desire is for excellence in meeting the needs of children and their families for nurturing, growth and development, relationships and understanding. Our values and beliefs about children are deeply rooted in the history of Early Childhood Education.
